Technical Art.

The problem with being technically good is you have nothing to say, despite your eloquence.

The problem with being good at idea creation is that you have a lot to say but not the eloquence to say it with.

It seems I've run out of time.... 1.5 hrs, on and off.

The Longest Doodle....

So, it seems that the newer version of MS Paint, albeit still feels primitive, is not too bad! As this little doodle is a testament to.

This painting took over 4 hours while cashiering, drinking coffee, exchanging war stories and such, and fixing computers while at work today.

It's a bit heavy handed, but was very relaxing for me. :)

Had to stop working on it cause the store's closed. Haha!

My Sister is....

As much as I want to post super pretty and completed artwork up, I simply have not had time. However, looks like my time's freeing up this week which is a pretty exciting time for me!

I drew this of my sister at a little 'Art Party' with the hubby and friends. I always feel so lost when I go to those. They always ask, "Hey, what are you working on?"

...and I never have anything to say. Except for maybe, "Studying."

Haha, never any specific piece of product. In my opinion this is my greatest problem. Giving myself a specific problem, or goal, or product to complete or create but once I have one, there is no stopping me until I complete it.

Hopefully the next blog update will have something more complete and be more art-centric and less sam-centric.

Summer Drawlings

I haven't had much time at all this summer to really devote to drawing, and i'm just not used to it anymore. After being unemployed for one whole year, with all of the time in the world to devote to nothing but art, I feel a little... spoiled. :)





I've gotta make time for painting. If only it didn't take so much focus. It's not as portable as pen and paper, either.

I miss painting!

The end of a semester.

I have got to be the most insecure person. No matter, I think I'm learning to really believe in myself and just do what I love for myself and those close to me.

I think this semester has been a big leap for me, not as an artist, but as a person. I hope, though, that this is reflected in my art as well! :)

My very first Viz Dev work..

These are no where near as good as I would like them, but it's a start. :) I'm actually seriously considering going into Visual Development. I really enjoy it!

And yes, the artwork looks incredibly inconsistent still, but soon I'll find my voice, my style. Just gotta cruise through it! :)
